Another successful, engaging tool for teaching social studies is by creating stations. Each station will have a different learning tactic based on a certain topic. Science is a great subject for using engaging learning tools. It can be the most interactive out of all the subjects. If you’re covering biology, use a life-sized skeleton and diagrams to identify human body parts. Hang up a chart of the periodic table of elements and the scientific method so that students can commit them to memory gradually each day. Plan experiments to test facts of science using magnets, test tubes and microscopes. Have children conduct their own science experiments using the scientific theory, make a poster stating the results and bring both the experiment and the poster into school for a science fair.
