PRESS RELEASE:
LBC continues to think of ways to provide help to the less fortunate thru their global network. Just recently, LBC has partnered with California-based foundation Project Pearls to help underprivileged students in the Philippines. From now until June 16, 2017, LBC will be setting up boxes in all their branches in California that will serve as drop off points for school supplies that will be solicited by Project Pearls. These donations will, then, be shipped by LBC to Project Pearl Philippines for distribution to beneficiary students.
LBC is honored to be partnering once again with Project Pearls in their effort to help the poorest of the poor students in the Philippines. Since its establishment, Project Pearls has advocated to help the poorest of the poor children in the Philippines have a better life thru education, empowerment, nutrition and health services.
Patricia Garcia, LBC’s Vice-President for Sales and Operations in North America says “We are happy to be part of Project Pearl’s noble cause. Thru this, we hope to be able to encourage the Filipino community in California and other civic-minded citizens to donate what they can so that impoverished children would be well-equipped with the materials they need when they go back to school this year.
This is the second time that LBC and Project Pearls have joined forces to provide love and laughter to those in need. Two years ago, LBC kicked off Box a Smile, where customers can donate a portion of their shipping fees to give a Christmas gift to a sponsored child in the Philippines. The drive was culminated with a gift-giving party.
Thru their various platforms and facilities, LBC hopes to make a difference by bridging the lives of Filipinos from all across the globe.
