When Burger King announced on their Facebook page that they will have a Battle of the Stacks King Eating Challenge, I dared my husband to join. I know he is man enough to do this challenge, but unfortunately, the requirements in joining is one of things that he is not comfortable in doing – that is to take a video of yourself and tell them why they need to choose you.
I was glad that although we didn’t joined the challenge I got an invite to witness who will be the first ever Burger King’s “Stacks King”. It happened last Saturday at the E-Com Center at Mall of Asia Complex.
The event was hosted by Ms. Issa Litton and of course the Burger King’s model Mr. Sam YG.
BK Stacks is Burger King’s made-to-order burger where anyone can choose from Dude (a single stack), Boss (a double stack), Chief (a triple stack), and of course the King (a quad stack). Here is the demonstration on how to eat the King Burger according to Sam YG.
After a few minutes of waiting, the event started by the host introducing all the 10 contestants. They were the ones who sent their videos and think that they are man enough. The contest mechanics is that they needed to eat the most number of King Stacks Burger in 15 minutes, and the winner will take home a whopping P50,000 in cash and will be crowned as the BK Stacks King.
Here are the first batch of contenders (sorry for the photo, it’s hard to take pictures since the venue is quite small and there were lots of camera man with huge cameras in front)
The 2nd batch of Contenders:
My son and I have witnessed how the 10 contenders do everything to win. Someone dipped the bun in the water to make it easier for him to finish it, someone stood up while eating, someone ate the patties first and the bun afterwards, etc. But only one was able to finish 4, yes 4 Kings Burger stacks for 15 minutes (that is equivalent to 16 patties, Amazing!). He is no other than Edward “The Burger Slayer” Garcia from Bajac Bajac Olongapo City.
Most of the contenders only finished 2 pcs. of King’s Burger, imagine that! I even don’t know how he did it because physically he doesn’t look like someone who could finish 4 quad stack burgers.
Congratulations The Burger Slayer. You made Olongapo City Proud!
My son and I decided to take home the King Burger that was given to us. I gave it to my husband and he said that he can’t believe that the winner was able to eat 4 of it (he thinks he can only finish 2 pcs. of King Burger also).

Hanep! P 50,000.00 just for eating 4 King Burgers in 15 mins. If there is a part 2 of this challenge, I’ll think I’ll join.
