This is a super duper late post actually. I’ve been busy for the past few days posting about my fabulous contest. Last Mother’s day, I covered MYMP’s new album launching at Robinsons Ermita (read here) after the musical serenade, my husband invited me to have dinner to any restaurant I wanted. Since I haven’t tried to eat at Mr. Choi Kitchen and I felt like eating Chinese Food that time I asked him to eat there.
The place was already jam packed when we arrived. Their guest were mostly Chinese families (of course), I’m glad we had a nice and comfy table since my son Ren is already cranky and was very sleepy already. I ordered the following in their menu:
I ordered a lot and we almost finished it all since we were already so hungry. All the food we ordered tasted good and it exceeded my expectations the only thing I am not satisfied was their service. Our food took almost 30 minutes or more to be served. I understand that it’s Mothers day that is why they have lots of patrons that day, but they should have prepared for it right? They have few waiters to serve and take orders and because of that we even saw the cooks were already serving.
The fish fillet we ordered should have a sauce but then again it took a few minutes and a follow up to request for the sauce to come.
Our bill reached P1,000 and I learned that Good Housekeeping is giving away FREE loot bags if you billed P1,000 and above with selected restaurants including Mr. Choi. Unfortunately, when I asked the crew for it he said that the minimum amount should be P1,500 so I checked it again on the poster outside the restaurant.
It clearly stated the P1,000 bill so I asked other person and even showed my receipts for the Good Housekeeping bag. It is one of their perks and one of the reasons why we chose to dine there so I think I have the right to receive it.
Thankfully they gave it.
I will eat there again maybe during weekdays and see if their service will fail me again 🙂
