I was invited to a URC event last Saturday. But because I could not make it, I asked my blogger friend Pehpot to represent me at the event instead.

Magical Moments Come to Life with John Lloyd Cruz

Magic Marketing Director Chris Fernandez said that when it comes to bringing magic on and off screen, John Lloyd is everyone’s go-to leading man. And everyone can agree to that.
In a recent event that launches the newest campaign of Magic Flakes, John Lloyd surprised everyone with his entrance, turning the event into a magical one. While the invited guests were eating the sumptuous meal prepared with Magic Flakes, they were interrupted with a loud commotion on the door. To their surprise, John Lloyd came in, holding a special gift for one of the media that won in the raffle.
And that’s what Magic Flakes newest campaign is all about –experiencing the unexpected and being swept away by those delicious little moments that just drop in our of the blue, and turn your ordinary day into something magical.
Magic Flakes will bring magic to ordinary people, just like what OFW mom Ma. Luisa “Malou” Alicaway had. While waiting for her Cebu Pacific flight to Hongkong, a young sitting beside her offered her Magic Flakes while chatting with her. It took her a few seconds to recognize who this you man is. And yes, it was John Lloyd! Before they parted ways, John Lloyd awarded her with a special gift: a “Kabuhayan Package”, which consisted of P50,000 worth of Universal Robina Corporation (URC) products. A few days after the encounter, the URC team visited the Alicaway home in Quezon province to deliver the Kabuhayan Package.
“We wanted to give the campaign another dimension by taking it beyond TV. We wanted it to touch the lives of actual people, so we’re bringing the magic to other areas in Metro Manila,” said Chris. He also mentioned that the recipient of this magical moment is randomly selected. They pick different people and try to know their life story. When asked how he feels to be on board Magic’s recent campaign, John Lloyd said he couldn’t be happier and revealed, “I’m pretty excited about this campaign because the concept is really engaging and fun. Finding nice little surprises in your everyday routine can really be magical. ”
