Etude House – Bubble Hair Coloring in Wine Red

by Levy on June 16, 2012

Yesterday, when I went to SM Manila for a stroll, I was delighted to see that there is an Etude House outlet there.  I was planning to color my hair, and since I have read some good reviews of their Bubble Hair Coloring,  I decided to buy one.  On the shelves, I saw these colors: Wine Red, Dark brown, Natural brown and Sweet Orange.  I chose “wine red”.   The Etude House Bubble Coloring cost only P378, and I find it quite affordable than going to a salon.

Unfortunately, the instructions are all written in Korean, so I just searched online on how other bloggers did it.

The box consists of the following:

I have read that it is best to use this color on dry hair, so I washed my hair 5 hours before coloring it.

The mixture is bubbly, and doesn’t have a strong irritating smell.

I have put several amount on my hair, and when I felt that all of it is covered and there are some more mixtures left in the bottle, I also asked my husband if I could color his hair too.

my husband’s hair

He washed his hair after 45 minutes and I saw that there was no visible result, so I waited for an hour to wash mine.  I thought that maybe I have put just a little amount on his hair that is why the color did not show.

Here is the before and after photo of my hair:

 AFTER

I am disappointed that I did not see any visible effect on my hair too.  I can just barely see it when light reflects on it.

Afterwards, I have read some reviews again, and one blogger said that the mixture should not be shaken (it just needed to be tilt left and right).

I don’t know if this is the reason why the mixture was not effective on our hair.  Also, I don’t know if it was because my hair is so thick that I need to use all the mixture for myself and not share it.

Others let it set on their hair for 30 minutes, while I washed it after an hour and yet it did not achieve the color that I want.

Maybe after 3 months I will try it again and I hope that time I wil be able to get the desired color on my hair.
